Position Description - Senior Business Developer

Overview
As a business developer you will play an instrumental role in the connection between our prospective and new clients; building trust-based relationships in order to ensure that our clients are completely satisfied with our services. Applicant must be a self-driven, disciplined, and focused professional; able to plan daily, reach specific activity benchmarks; and be a bold cold caller able to close new sales.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and secure new strategic partnerships through generation of new sales opportunities.
  • Prospect new relationships through cold calling, trade shows, referrals and networking.
  • Manage and develop prospect database.
  • Active involvement in trade associations.
  • Implement marketing and sales efforts toward key strategic partnerships.
  • Provide recommendations in developing new market segments and business opportunities.
  • Meet and exceed new sales goals.
  • Responsible for contract negotiations and transitioning new accounts to service team.
  • Coordinate sales efforts with local and operational teams.

Required Experience/Skills

  • Minimum of 5 years business-to-business sales experience, preferably in the service industry.
  • Minimum four year degree or related business experience.
  • Highly competitive, positive, and results driven sales person.
  • Excellent customer service skills. Excellent phone, oral and written communication skills.
  • Organized and able to manage time.
  • Experienced in managing multiple projects and able to multi-task.
  • Experienced in selling to regional and national clients Proficient with computer software programs including MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint).
  • Experience in using CRM programs to manage prospect database, client organizational structure and develop sales strategies.
  • Comfortable in securing appointments and presenting to mid-upper level managers.
  • Ability to communicate from any location and to work out of home office if required.

  • Knowledge of products, pricing, competition and sales objectives.
